| Car is a 94 n/a Issue #1 I recently replaced three injectors. I decided to do the throttle body coolant line bypass to make things easier re-installing and for future plenum pulls. Everything is correct, i've checked countless times. Everything went smooth. A day later I checked codes and got 32 (EGR function, EGR valve does not operate (valve spring does not lift) After a bit of reading, I took the vac line connected right into the EGR and sucked on it to see if the valve was working in the EGR, you can hear a poping noise of the valve. I even let it sit on my tongue for two minutes and it held pressure the whole time. After that I drove the car a bit, checked codes and got 55. Drove from Norfolk to Richmond and got a CEL. Got home and checked codes and got 32 once again. Again I took the vac line and sucked on it and got the noise. 55 shortly after.... Tested the EGR solenoid the other day and it clicked, so I know it's functioning. I accually found a vac line that was not connected to the bottom of the Throttle Body and thought that was why I was getting the code, connected it and I'm still getting the code. Issue #2
Changed a few injectors a few weeks ago and it seemed fine right after. Started right up and ran great for a couple weeks. It developed a problem starting after a while. It would take several cranks to get started. I hooked up the FP gauge today and found that pressure drops from 44 to 0 in about 2 minutes after priming. I pinched the return line back to the tank and the problem persisted. So I though maybe the fuel pump check valve might be the problem. Then I primed it, pinched the return, and also the feed, cutting off all lines to the tank. The pressure continued to drop with both lines pinched. I concluded that a lower injector o-ring had developed a pretty bad leak. I never noticed any smoke or anything. I don't see/smell any fuel leaks to the outside. Does anyone have any other possibilities? The only thing I can think of to do is pull the fuel rails again and see if they leak out of the bottom. Thanks -adam
